Barber Rendering & Plastering Ipswich

Barber Rendering & Plastering was established in 1994 and is owned and run by Paul Barber. The business serves Ipswich and the surrounding areas. It offers plastering, rendering, re-skimming, new ceilings, plaster repairs, dot & dab dry lining, insulated plasterboard, coving, insurance claims, insulated walls & ceilings, skimming over Artex, Marmox tile backer, ISO-THERM thin internal wall insulation and silicone thincoat rendering. The business has carried out lime plastering on an old listed building.

On Norwich Rd in Ipswich, this plastering business, working under Paul, is repeatedly praised for ceiling replacement and skimming, often following water damage or as part of refurbishing a new home. Reviewers describe repairs to damaged ceilings, holes left by removed fittings, and making good skirting boards and walls, with finished surfaces left smooth and ready for painting.

A point that comes up often is punctuality and reliability, with clients noting that jobs finish on time and that communication stays clear throughout, with options explained and requirements confirmed before work begins. Tidiness is another recurring theme, with mess and rubbish cleared away once each job is done, leaving rooms usable straight away. Kitchen ceilings feature in more than one account, alongside bathroom and hallway repairs carried out after water damage, pointing to experience with both cosmetic skimming and heavier repair work.

Several customers mention returning for further rooms or smaller follow-up projects after earlier work, and one job involved correcting plastering originally completed by a less skilled tradesperson. Fair pricing is noted by more than one reviewer, alongside a hard-working approach and strong technical skill. The business lists no fixed closing times, giving flexibility for arranging quotes or site visits, and continues taking on both large and small plastering jobs from its Norwich Road base.
