Horrible atmosphere, very chaotic and condescending tone of staff. Won’t be returning.

Save yourself a lot of stress, effort and cost by spending some time in-store with one of the excellent colour consultants. Jackie in the Oxford store is consistently brilliant - known to us as the 'paint whisperer'!

So I have no complaints about F&B's colour consultants - they are universally excellent and extremely helpful, as are all the staff -= they deserve 5 stars. The issue I have is with the paint itself which gets 1 star. It is easy to apply and dries comparatively quickly BUT the coverage (I mean opacity) is truly dreadful. I used F&B recommended undercoat plus three top coats generously applied with a roller and I can still see the underlying colour. This has been a colossal waste of time and I'm now off to get some Dulux paint colour matched to the F&B paint. If you must use F&B, don't think about using their undercoat - it's not opaque, use a Dulux or other quality white undercoat and you may have a chance of getting the colour you want. But for me - never again.

Excellent service, really took the time to listen to my needs and advised accordingly. Nothing was too much bother, and no hard upselling (in fact, saved me money with their advice!). Will definitely return when I’m ready to decorate the next room.

Very helpful and efficient staff. Super showroom. Ordered paint on Saturday as it wasn't in stock. It was with me by Tuesday.
