Forest Road Wallcoverings Ltd (AKA Wallpaper John's)

Forest Road Wallcoverings Ltd trades as Wallpaper John's. The business sells wall coverings, paint, and related products. Product categories include children's wallpaper, designer wallpaper, insulating wallpaper, Italian vinyls, kitchen and bathroom paint, and wood, brick and stone effect.

On Forest Road in Southport, this long-established shop trades as a wallpaper and decorating specialist stocking papers, ceiling roses and paint alongside its garden centre and homewares lines. Reviews time and again mention how quickly orders are dispatched, with several describing next-day or same-week delivery even when parcels are sent as far as Cyprus, arriving well wrapped and undamaged.

The range on offer comes up often too, with customers noting that when a particular design proved out of stock elsewhere, or a specific style couldn't be found in larger DIY chains, this store had it or could source it. Staff, including the owner John, are consistently described as helpful, knowledgeable and easy to deal with, taking time to talk through options and match colours or prints to what a customer has in mind.

Several shoppers say they have returned over many years for wallpaper, paint and trims, citing consistently fair prices alongside the breadth of choice packed into the premises. The Sunday opening from 10am to 1.30pm is noted as convenient for those planning a weekend project, and the shop is open every day of the week from 9am, making it straightforward to call in or order outside a typical working week for decorating supplies.
