Hills Decorators

Hills Decorators is an independent painting and decorating company formed in 1969, with over 50 years of industry experience. The company serves commercial, industrial and domestic clients throughout the Midlands and the rest of the UK. All team members have undergone a Disclosure and Barring Service check. Hills Decorators is fully accredited and Health & Safety compliant. It is trusted by businesses, homeowners and local authorities. Services include surface preparation, wallpapering, painting and varnishing.

Hills Decorators, based on Egypt Rd in New Basford, Nottingham, has taken on work ranging from domestic redecoration to larger contracts including a church chapel and a school, covering walls, ceilings and ceiling roses alongside more typical room repaints. More than one review highlights thorough preparation, with wallpaper stripping and the filling and sanding of cracks carried out before any painting begins, which is noted as particularly important in older properties.

Punctuality and tidiness are recurring themes, with several accounts describing dust-free finishes and furniture carefully replaced once work is complete. The standard of finish is consistently described as neat and high quality, whether the job involves a single hallway or an entire property. Named team member Wes is mentioned for offering helpful guidance on colour choices and products, and the business is described by more than one reviewer as family run, with staff said to be pleasant and reassuring to have in the home throughout a project.

Clients also highlight reliability, with the team returning for repeat jobs across different rooms of the same house. Feedback covers both small residential updates, such as transforming a dark hallway while owners were away, and larger commercial or institutional decorating projects, pointing to a team comfortable working at varying scales around New Basford and the wider Nottingham area.
