Jason Kirby Painting and Decorating Ltd

Jason Kirby Painting and Decorating Ltd was founded in 1998 as a one-man operation. All staff are City and Guilds qualified. The company is a member of The Guild of Master Craftsmen, the Painting & Decorating Association, Dulux Select Decorators, and the Government-endorsed TrustMark. It is the preferred contractor of Cambridge University and Schools, and the highest-ranking Dulux Select member for the area. Based in Cambridge, it covers Newmarket, Huntingdon and the surrounding areas. The company specialises in period residential and commercial properties.

It provides all aspects of internal and external painting and decorating, and is skilled at paint effects and finishes. It is expert in hanging designer and high-grade wallpapers, including contract vinyls and murals. Services also include coving and artexing, plastering, window care repair, and project management of other trades. The company has built working relationships with many respected interior designers, architects and building contractors. All work is guaranteed for two years, underwritten by ICI Dulux. Its tradesmen are vetted and fully insured. Free professional and detailed quotations with full job specification are provided.

Cambridge properties, from family houses to garden studios and offices, have been refreshed by this decorating team, and the quality of the finished work is the praise that recurs most consistently. Reviews regularly refer to that decorators arrived at the agreed time, kept the household informed as the job progressed and worked diligently to limit disruption in other rooms, leaving the site clean once finished. Woodwork spraying, interior painting, ceiling wallpapering and sanding with re-staining of floorboards all feature in accounts of completed projects.

Customers writing about their orders describe advice offered on colours and finishes, with decorators willing to suggest approaches so that each room ended up as the owner had envisaged. Jason, Tony, Ross, Gary and Liam are named for their friendly and professional manner, and queries raised before and during the work received prompt replies. The sums charged are described in feedback as fair for the standard achieved, while the even finish on restored boards and the crisp appearance of sprayed surfaces are singled out for particular admiration. Bookings have been repeated across different properties, and the pleasant presence of the tradespeople while on site is another recurring point.
