RoseBelle Plastering

RoseBelle Plastering is a family-owned plastering business based in York. The owner is David Mcmanus. The business has over 10 years of experience and holds a City and Guilds qualification. It covers York, Harrogate, Wetherby, Knaresborough and surrounding areas.

Skimming and full replastering of rooms across York properties, from single bedrooms to larger period homes, form the bulk of the work carried out by RoseBelle Plastering in Acomb. Dave is named in nearly every account as the tradesman on site, sometimes with a colleague, and is consistently described as punctual, polite and considerate of the property he is working in. An aspect raised across a number of reviews is the standard of finish, with walls and ceilings left smooth and evenly levelled across living rooms, bathrooms, hallways and kitchens.

Reviews regularly refer to honest advice, including a case where no plastering was actually needed and no charge was made for the callout, along with guidance on drying times and preparing surfaces for decoration afterwards. Word of mouth features strongly, with several clients saying they were introduced to Dave by family members or colleagues who had already had work done.

In one job on an Edwardian home, original details such as curved walls, curved architrave and period coving were carefully preserved while other trades were coordinated around the plastering. Tidiness once work is finished is mentioned consistently, and clear updates on timing and progress are another recurring thread. Several clients note booking further rooms once earlier work is complete, with jobs often carried out in stages across the same property in Acomb.
