Bailey & Medd Decorators

Bailey & Medd Decorators is a painting and decorating company based in Yorkshire. The company serves both commercial and domestic clients across Yorkshire. The team has over 30 years' combined experience and the decorators are City & Guilds trained. Richard Medd and Joel Bailey are owners.

The company specialises in all aspects of decoration, including restoration and exterior detailing. It offers bespoke painting and decorating services. The company has worked on projects for retail units, art galleries, stately homes and private residences. It has worked with Ogden of Harrogate, at York Art Gallery, and with JG Trade Windows Ltd.

Work on homes and business premises recurs throughout the feedback for this decorating firm, with bed and breakfast properties among the projects customers describe. Several reviewers mention interior painting and wallpapering carried out across hallways, upstairs rooms and full house exteriors, including preparation work on surfaces that needed thorough attention. Reliability comes up often, with tradesmen described as arriving when arranged and completing jobs within the expected timeframe. The finish itself draws consistent praise, particularly the care taken over detail and the transformation of rooms from colour selection through to furniture placement.

Communication before and after the work is another theme, with quotes provided promptly and the team kept well equipped on site. Customers repeatedly note how pleasant the decorators were to have in their homes, describing a friendly and professional manner, and pricing described as competitive or reasonable appears in more than one account. Richard is named for the quality of his hallway decorating. Repeat bookings feature strongly, with one client returning for a third project in their guesthouse and others stating they would hire the firm again for further rooms, exterior repainting or additional properties in the surrounding area.
