Bert's Painting & Decorating

Bert's Painting & Decorating Ltd is an Edinburgh-based decorating company that has been painting and decorating Edinburgh homes since the early 1990s, transforming Edinburgh homes for over 30 years. The company is a small, hands-on team, not a franchise or call centre. Its painters and decorators are fully qualified, insured, and SSIP approved, with public liability cover. The company specialises in internal decorating, external painting, wallpapering, and flooring for residential properties across Edinburgh, including Morningside, Bruntsfield, Marchmont, Newington, Trinity and surrounding areas.

It provides professional exterior painting services including stonework, masonry, harling and timber protection across Edinburgh. The team works room by room to keep disruption to a minimum, protects floors, furniture and fittings as standard, and leaves every space clean and tidy at the end of each working day. It offers a free, no-obligation home visit and a clear, written quote with no hidden costs.

In Edinburgh, Bert's Painting & Decorating has built a reputation on careful preparation and a clean finish. Several customers describe work that ranges from exterior painting of flats, windows, railings and gutters to interior projects such as woodchip removal, lining, skimming and painting of living rooms, bedrooms and kitchens, along with wallpapering. Several accounts note the standard of preparation, including sanding down an artex ceiling before sealing and finishing it, and the absence of visible joins in papered rooms.

Named staff, among them Jakub, Sebastian, Yuri and Andor, are praised for punctuality, politeness and for protecting floors and surrounding areas while they work. Tidiness comes up often, with rooms and exteriors left spotless and debris cleared at the end of each day. Communication from the office, both when assessing the job and in preparing the estimate, is also highlighted, as is the care taken to keep disruption to a minimum. The result is described as fresh, modern and neatly executed, and the team's friendly manner is noted alongside its timekeeping, whether the task is a full interior transformation or smaller exterior maintenance.
