J&R Decorating limited

J&R Decorating Limited is a family-run painting and decorating business based in Brighton & Hove. It serves homeowners, landlords, and local businesses. The company works on Victorian terraces, Regency townhouses, and modern seafront apartments. Its small, hand-picked team has decades of decorating experience. J&R Decorating offers interior and exterior painting services. It provides free quotes. The business does not use subcontractors. It uses dust sheets and protects surfaces during work.

Neat cutting-in and a smooth, even finish come up repeatedly in accounts of kitchen and bedroom repaints carried out by this Brighton and Hove team, with clean edging and careful lines mentioned across several separate jobs. Ryan, at times joined by Jake, is named again and again as dependable and thorough, turning up as arranged and leaving each room spotless once painting was complete. Quotes are described as clear and fairly priced, with more than one client remarking that no hidden costs appeared once work was underway.

Jobs described include full studio flats, kitchens, bedrooms and woodwork, with skirting and trim brought up to the same standard as walls and ceilings. An observation shared by more than one reviewer is steady communication throughout a project, with progress kept visible rather than left unexplained. Protection of furnishings and flooring during painting is raised more than once, alongside tidiness sustained right through to the final clean-up.

Based at Kingswood Flats, the business runs the same seven-day hours from 7am to 6pm, a schedule that appears to suit households organising decorating around other commitments. Several clients mention returning for further kitchen redecoration after an earlier project, suggesting satisfaction carried forward rather than being a one-off outcome. Reliability paired with attention to detail is what links these accounts across different rooms and property types.
