Helpfulness and product knowledge stand out as the qualities that reviewers return to most often at this Northampton decorating centre. Customers in several reviews describe staff who listen carefully to a decorating brief and then mix colours on the spot, including shades that had not been requested for more than a decade, with the correct match produced while they waited.

Reviews regularly refer to that serving was prompt even at busy times, and that orders could be placed remotely, with a voucher and a list of chosen colours sent ahead and the goods arriving the following day. The range of stock is praised as wide, covering paint, tools, ladders, protective clothing and safety equipment, so that a single visit usually supplies everything a project needs. Pricing is described as fair, and the paint itself as good quality and reliable in use.

Named members of staff, among them Lee, Ellie and Julian, are singled out for a professional and attentive manner, and the welcome extends to a hot drink while customers wait. Small touches such as a call ahead of delivery and clear communication about what has been ordered and when it will arrive are noted, alongside the friendly and knowledgeable approach that shapes most accounts of time spent in the shop.
