Matt’s work is exemplary. He has great attention to detail, carrying out all necessary prep work and filling in to give the best finish possible. He provides all of the equipment and materials and can make suggestions of paint colours and finishes. We’ve used Matt’s services to paint and decorate most rooms in our house, including stripping existing wallpaper from walls and ceilings, applying new wallpaper and painting fresh walls and panelling after a renovation. We would highly recommend Matt to anyone looking for a friendly and reliable professional decorator with clear and fair pricing and excellent communication.
We have now had the pleasure of working with Matt, from Haus Design and Decorate Ltd, on two separate projects, and the experience has been nothing short of exceptional. If you are seeking a decorator who embodies artisan standards, rigorous professionalism, and flawless execution, then look no further. From the very first consultation, it was clear we were dealing with an expert. His eye for detail, understanding of colours, and ability to translate our vision into reality was impressive. This isn't someone who just paints walls; he considers the entire space, ensuring the finish elevates the room’s character. Matt is very well organised, his quotes are very fair, he’s an excellent communicator, and he meets his deadlines. This reliability meant we had no stress that sometimes can be associated with home improvements. Matt prepares the surfaces to be decorated both professionally and with care. Furthermore, he is very tidy ensuring he sheets up floors and furniture very thoroughly before starting the decoration process. And finally, the finish. This is where his professionalism shines brightest. The quality of his work is impeccable, smooth, consistent, and precise. There are no shortcuts, and the result is, what feels to us, as an enduring finish. In summary, our experience over two projects has been consistently outstanding. I found Matt on Checker trade (who’s portfolio stood out against anyone else) and decided to get a quote to re-decorate my entire 3 bedroom house (internal and external) after I’d renovated it, just before we put it on the market. Matt came to my home to assess what was required to achieve my goals and in his cool professional manner explained exactly what was needed. I decided to appoint Haus to decorate our home, which achieving a high quality finish had all our previous hard work and future plans pinned on. As the decorating progressed it became evident that Matt is more than a decorator. He’s is an artist. Our house is now finished, looks amazing and we cannot thank Matt enough as it looks better than we ever thought was possible. Matt is punctual, methodical, has a great eye for detail and calm nature so you don’t mind having him in your home or asking any questions along the way. Both me and my partner cannot recommend Matt enough and any future painting or decoration work we will only be using Haus.
Extremely professional, gave us a better idea than we had ourselves on what colour and treatment our living room needed. Even on short notice Matt also put a lovely white coating in our newly plastered back porch hallway. We opted for the colour drench style in the Farrow and Ball colour of Ammonite, which has really neatened up the room and has given it that clean fresh aesthetic that we wanted. All work done in 2 days (Day 1 prep, day 2 paint to wall) attention to detail was great, very friendly and informative. Would definitely recommend! We’re definitely going to reach out again for future work in the house. 10/10.
We are so glad we found Matt!! We've had our lounge, hallway, stairs and landing decorated by Matt and he has done an amazing job. The job has been completed to a very high standard and Matt has come to the rescue when other tradesmen have left us in a bit of a mess. We will be using Matt for any future decorating and would highly recommend to anyone who needs a friendly and trustworthy decorator!
Needed all of our apartment redecorating after our initial refurbishment 4 years ago. Matt came to do an assessment of the work and provided us with a very competitive estimate within two days. He also explained that he would be using a very innovative technique of sanding all of the walls before painting to give a better key for the paint and a better smooth finish when complete. We were a little concerned about the possible dust and mess with this but he assured us that this would leave no mess at all. True to his word there was no mess at all. What a superb job Matt has done. We didn’t need to do any prep work at all. He removed all wall hangings, curtains and moved all furniture as needed and covered all carpets and furniture whilst working. I cannot give a higher recommendation for everything Matt has done. Fantastic job from start to finish. Delighted with his work and I would recommend him to anyone.
