DP Decorators

DP Decorators is a painting and decorating company based in York, serving the local surrounding area. The company has over 10 years' experience in the decorating, flooring and tiling industries. Its services include painting and decorating, flooring, tiling, handyman services, and microcement. Daniel is a named individual associated with the company.

Completed projects include a heritage restoration at Moorlyn Cottage, York, and a whole home restoration of a 1930s period property on Bishopthorpe Road in York. A bathroom transformation involved tiling walls and floor with marble effect tiles, and installing a new shower, toilet and basin with cabinet.

DP Decorators, run by Daniel and a small team, features in reviews covering everything from a front porch repaint to a full bathroom renovation. Work described includes hanging wallpaper on a long and awkward hallway drop, fitting new skirting after a replaster, refreshing woodwork before new carpet was laid, and replacing bathroom tiles with acrylic panels and a micro cement finish, finished with sealant and new vinyl flooring.

A recurring theme in feedback is the care taken with older, more complicated properties, where cracks and structural quirks were dealt with patiently rather than glossed over, producing finishes more than one reviewer called flawless. Comments repeatedly highlight punctuality, politeness and a tidy site left at the end of each job, alongside a willingness to suggest practical ideas rather than simply follow instructions. Efficiency is another point raised often, with jobs finished on schedule without any drop in standard.

One client noted a trade discount passed on for materials on a bathroom fitting job, which helped keep costs reasonable. Beyond decorating, garden maintenance and general handyman tasks are also mentioned, suggesting a broader range of jobs are taken on alongside painting, plastering and wallpapering. With availability across every day of the week, the business appears able to take on both quick single tasks and larger multi-trade renovations.
