Kevin James Decorating

Kevin James Decorating is a painters and decorators business based in Cambridge with over 15 years of experience. It works exclusively on domestic houses and serves Cambridgeshire. The business provides interior and exterior painting and decorating services. For external projects it covers period, modern, and extended properties.

It works on windows, doors, guttering, fascias, masonry, brickwork, cladding, previously painted exterior walls, pebble dash or rendered walls, and metals such as gates and posts. It tackles mould areas, stains, watermarks, and rotted wood, and prepares all surfaces to an excellent standard. It assists in choosing the correct paint for each room. It protects furniture and floors and keeps the area clean after each working day. It restored aged blackened oak to a vibrant oak satin finish.

Rooms, staircases, landings and bedrooms across Cambridge have been transformed by this decorator, and the willingness of clients to book him again over several years is a recurring feature of their accounts. Preparation is described as thorough, with damaged wall areas repaired and old wallpaper stripped back before fresh finishes went on. Customers note that the finish itself is of a consistently high quality, and that each property was left clean and tidy once the work finished.

Punctuality and dependability appear as regular themes, as does the habit of explaining plans and updating clients while a job is under way. Kevin is named time and again for his courteous and approachable manner, his patience around occupants and pets, and the ease of discussing options suited to a given budget. His prices are described as competitive, his pace as efficient, and his attention to detail as careful. Several clients have returned to him for decorating projects in successive homes, and interior painting remains the mainstay of the work described.
