Kynoch & Robertson

Kynoch & Robertson is a family firm based in Aberdeen with a history spanning more than 100 years. The company specialises in wallcoverings, fabrics and paint, and offers professional decorating and curtain making services. It has a skilled team of decorators.

Aberdeen customers writing about this Rosemount Place business describe a shop that doubles as a decorating service, with purchases of premium paint, sample pots and made-to-measure soft furnishings forming a large part of the accounts. One thing mentioned again and again is the depth of knowledge on hand and the willingness of staff to spend time explaining options, especially to those unfamiliar with choosing wallpaper or a colour scheme. Paint is carried in recognised brands alongside everyday supplies, and advice extends to telephone queries and arranging delivery of paint when required.

Catriona and her colleagues are named for courteous, unhurried help, whether guiding a wallpaper choice or supplying new curtains and a track that left one customer's relative delighted. Work carried out in a hall and stair project is described as professionally done, with the site left clean after every day's work. Reviewers often mention the patience of the team and the care taken to avoid rushing anyone through a decision, which makes the in-person visit worthwhile for those wanting to see finishes before buying.
