Blake Plastering®

Blake Plastering® was founded in 2008 and has over a decade of experience. The owner is named Sacha. The company holds an NVQ Level 2 in Solid Plastering from City & Guilds and CITB, and the team holds accredited CSCS cards. It is fully insured with Public Liability Insurance through AXA, and work is guaranteed. The service area includes Cardiff, Vale of Glamorgan, Penarth, Cowbridge and South Wales.

The company serves domestic homes and commercial property developers and other trades. Services include all aspects of internal plastering, Artex ceiling encapsulation, ceiling repairs and replacement, plasterboard fitment, coving, skimming, insurance work, overboarding, drylining, dot & dab, general building works, and painting & decorating.

Blake Plastering has built a strong reputation among Cardiff clients for repairing water-damaged ceilings and updating tired Artex surfaces. Several accounts describe ceilings damaged by leaks being repaired, overboarded and replastered, with coving replaced where needed, while others mention skimming directly over Artex to leave walls and ceilings with a smooth, contemporary finish. Larger jobs also feature, including tall Edwardian ceilings, deep window recesses and chimney breasts finished to a high standard.

Reviews regularly refer to Sacha's conduct on site: arriving on time, setting out options and costs before work begins, and leaving each room clean once finished. Something that features in review after review is that quotes are honoured and jobs completed within the agreed timescale, sometimes covering several rooms during one visit.

Pricing is described as reasonable for the standard of work delivered, and guidance on preparing new plaster for painting is frequently offered without being requested. Many clients mention calling on him again for further work at the same property, and confidence in his reliability and tidiness runs throughout the feedback. The business, based on Mostyn Rd in the CF5 area of Cardiff, operates weekday hours from half past eight in the morning until half past eight in the evening, with no Saturday or Sunday appointments available.
