Smiths of York - Painters and Decorators

Joe, Sam and Mike did a great job decorating our hall, landing and stairs. We have an old house with wonky walls, peeling lining paper and battered woodwork. They communicated excellently, arriving when they said they would, making sure we were happy with the finish and talked us through all of the decisions that needed to be made. They worked really efficiently and were even considerate of us working from home, only sanding when we weren’t in meetings which was a lovely touch which they didn’t need to do. Paul came and checked their work near the end of their week and made sure we were 100% with the work that had been done. Couldn’t recommend them enough as we could never have achieved the finish that they have achieved if it took us 6 months.

We are delighted with the decorating Smiths have done for us. Friendly, polite and professional. The attention to detail is excellent.

Really pleased with the work Smiths of York have done in our master bedroom. It needed quite a bit of work, walls weren’t in the best shape and it now looks like a new room! Attention to detail was amazing and the before & after service great as always. Nothing’s too much trouble. I’d used them before in a previous house and am really pleased I contacted them again. Special thanks to Justin who did a great job!

Initial response to enquiry and general customer service were very good. Justin, our decorator, was excellent - punctual, efficient, very tidy and a great standard of work. Very pleased with results and we will be using Smiths of York for our next project. Highly recommend this company.

I am very happy with the quality of Justin's decorating work. It included a lot of remedial work to quite uneven plaster and a minor skirting board repair to create smooth and seamless finishes. Justin arrived as promised and did a meticulous clean-up on departure.

These chaps really are the best. They were courteous and totally respectful of my property. The finish is perfect and nothing was to much trouble. I felt more than happy to hand over the keys and let them just get on with what they do best. I highly recommend and will be returning to them again in the future.

Polite, efficient, reliable. A pleasure to have Paul and his team painting at my home. They've completed most of my house over the years. As always, did a super job, nothing too much trouble. I strongly recommend.
